Inkwell's book selection

The National Curriculum tells us that children must “appreciate our rich and varied cultural heritage” through an extensive range of books and poetry. Most of us would agree that this is a worthy objective for the teaching of English. The trouble is, it takes an immense amount of time as well as specialist book knowledge, to devise complete book lists across a school.

We’ve selected only the very best texts – be they inventive new picture books, timeless masterpieces or innovative educational apps – texts to inspire you and your pupils. See the gallery below for a selection of our booklist.

Inkwell provides an inspirational reading list that spans Reception to Year 6.

  • No more doubling up of the same books from one year to the next
  • No more worries about how to use challenging classic texts
  • No more puzzling over poetry
